   Progress on Establishing the National Pension Fund
         

Nov.  2006    

The Fiscal Policy Office is in the process of proposing a National Pension Fund  project to
the Ministry of Finance for approval.
 

    Oct.  2006    

The working group has considered a final report on Thailand Pension System Design Project  prepared by experts from the Asian Development Bank

Aug.  2006    

The working group presented preliminary report to the committee.

             Jun. 2006   

The working group has studied and examined the subjects as assigned. It is expected that preliminary report will be considered in August 2006.

              Apr. 2006    

The committee subsequently appointed a working group to study the subjects in details.

              Jan. 2006   

Ministry of Finance has appointed a committee comprises of concerned parties and specialists
responsible for developing the Nation Pension Fund (NPF) plan, and considering various aspects and supplementary issues concerning NPF.
